Terms & Conditions - Privacy / Confidentiality - GDPR 

Session Delivery

Sessions will be on Zoom, in client's own home or in a therapy room. Jane

will send a new Zoom meeting link to the client for each sessions.

 

Rules relating to zoom sessions:

Please make sure your room is private with no

distractions, with the exception of therapy pets. Please silence any devices.

Each session will be 60-90 mins long.If you cannot get on the call for any technical reason,

please call 07527 577987.

Jane Bishop will notify you as soon as possible if she

cannot attend a session and arrange a suitable, agreeable session.

 

I (client)

ï Ä I am joining this session through my own free will,

and not because someone has told me to and can

end sessions at any time.

ï Ä I have read the data protection policy and

consent to my personal in- formation being stored in

the policy.

ï Ä I have been informed that the details of my

sessions are confidential unless I disclose something

that indicates a risk of significant harm or a

safeguarding issue.

ï Ä I am free to cancel sessions, but sessions

cancelled in less than 48 hours notice will still be

charged.

 

Privacy

I agree to provide my personal contact details to the

Therapist for therapeutic change work. It wont be

shared with anyone. Data the therapist collects will

be archived for up to 8 years. Data will be

confidentially held in accordance to GDPR

regulations.

 

Privacy Policy

Jane Bishop will comply with the terms of the

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) set up

by the UK Government to secure use of your data.

Jane Bishop will only use this information for

therapy services with herself and the client. Below

explains what personal information Jane Bish- op

collects and holds, why she collects this data, how

long it is stored for and your rights over your

personal data.

 

1. Information about you

1. Jane collects contact details form you when you

enquire about sessions. It may contain relevant

information about you such as you availability and

personal details about your issue. She will store the

information for 5 years, from the date you finish

sessions.

1.2 This information is used to assist your sessions and

keep you informed of appointment times.

2. Information Use2.1 Jane will only use this information to help is your

sessions. She will not share that information unless given

written permission, unless there is a le- gal requirement

to do so.

3. Securing your information

3.1 Care will be taken not to lose, misuse or alter

information.

3.2 Communication is through email. Email is not fully,

technically secure by nature. Jane will use standard virus

protection, but cannot take responsibility for all

information remaining virus free.

4. Personal data rights

4.1 You are entitled to view information held about you.

Please contact Jane for this information or if you have

any concerns about your data. If your concerns cannot

be alleviated, you can contact the appropriate authority.

 

Confidentiality

As a member of National Hypnotherapy Society I adhere

strictly to their confidentiality policy. This means:

All data stored is compliant with legal requirements

stated in the General Data Protection Regulation

created by the UK Government.

Your private information includes: 

Legal name

Anything you tell the therapist within the session or in

writing between sessions.

• Jane will actively protect information from

unauthorised access.

• Jane will not share personally identifiable

information.

• Jane will not share personally identifiable

information, if agreed to share

with appropriate people such as supervisors, that

person also has to

agree to legally required confidentiality.

• Jane will maintain confidentially unless there is a

possibility of serious

harm or safeguarding concerns. There would have to

be a legally and

ethically recognised justification.

• e. Keep information given stored in a locked house

in a secure location.

• The clients information will not be shared with any

third parties.

Limits to confidentiality

In exceptional circumstances, the need to safeguard our

clients or others from serious harm may require us to

override our commitment to making our client"s wishes

and confidentiality our primary concern...” (BACP Good

Practice Guide , Point 10)

Payment is to be made at least 48 hours after booking, either using the info below or through the website, to reserve your appointment time.
