Dare to Dream, Dream to Dare

Sometimes we wont let ourselves entertain an idea because we think if we hope for it, we will just end up sad if we can’t have it. But Confusius said ‘We have two lives, and the second begins when we realise we only have one.
You may avoid feeling sad today, but when you look at the bigger picture, you’re just saving the sadness up for later.
That is, if you were going to be disappointed. What if you could have what you want and be who you want? Or even who you were destined to be?
In this session, we start by:
Admitting your desires and fantasies about a future you
Dealing with any feelings that arise with that acknowledgement, whether they be fear or excitement.
Then we get to work on identifying and overcoming bariers such as:
Inaction, due to fear of past mistakes repeating again.
Self sabotage, because a part of you thinks you can and a part of you thinks you can’t. The can’t part’s winning at the moment, but they both want the same thing (your safety and happiness). And because they both want the same thing, it is possible for them to change their minds.
Fear of rejection and a belief that others decide your fate
Imposter syndrome. Which is just a lack of awareness of skills that can be discovered, obtained or learnt, and comparing ourselves to others. It is also unrealistic expectations, that can be adjusted.
Only when you’ve looked at the above, can you begin living that second life with no regrets.
